Vishwakarma Jayanti, the festival dedicated to Lord Vishwakarma, the creator of the universe and the divine architect, was celebrated with great pomp at the Puran Murti Campus, Kami Road. The event included worship of Lord Vishwakarma, chanting of Vedic mantras, and a havan (ritual offering) ceremony. Floral tributes were offered to Lord Vishwakarma in the campus, and prayers were performed for various machines in the engineering, polytechnic, pharmacy, aeronautical, and aerospace engineering labs.
The ceremony was attended by Chairman of the institution Dr. Vijay Pal Nain, Secretary Mr. Gautam Nain, Treasurer Mr. Bhopal Singh, Managing Director Mr. Kapil Bhatia, Campus Director Mr. Kuldeep, Principal Mr. Lokesh Bhatia, Registrar Mr. Kanwaljeet Singh Sandhu, Dean of Academics Mr. Sandeep Kumar, Mr. Raghavendra, Mr. Vikram, and all other staff members, as well as students. Everyone participated in the havan and made offerings to the sacred fire.
Chairman Dr. Vijay Pal Nain remarked that Vishwakarma Puja is also known as Vishwakarma Jayanti or Vishwakarma Day. Lord Vishwakarma was the world's first craftsman, architect, and engineer. Engineers are the creators of society and play a crucial role in steering new technologies in the right direction. Vishwakarma Day is an opportunity to remember the role and contribution of technology and engineering in our lives.
Secretary Gautam Nain stated that Lord Vishwakarma beautified this world. People involved in construction and creation worship Lord Vishwakarma on this day with reverence. A large number of students from various courses such as engineering, polytechnic, pharmacy, aeronautical, aerospace engineering, and law were present on this occasion.
