Admission to Indian BBA LLB courses is mainly through entrance tests like the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), Law School Admission Test (LSAT India), Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT), and All India Law Entrance Test (AILET). Certain universities, e.g., Christ University and NMIMS, hold their own entrance tests, i.e., CUET and NMIMS-LAT. These tests test candidates in English, logical reasoning, legal aptitude, general knowledge, and mathematics.
Although a few private universities grant direct admission on merit, the majority of premier law schools and institutes demand qualifying marks in these entrance exams. The eligibility conditions typically are passing 10+2 with a minimum percentage (different for different institutions). One needs to refer to individual university requirements and deadlines. One needs to prepare well in topics such as legal reasoning, general awareness, and analytical thinking to achieve a good rank in these competitive exams.
