Can I pursue an LLB immediately after completing 12th grade?

Yes, you can pursue a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) immediately after completing 12th grade, but only through a 5-year integrated law program, such as BA LLB, BBA LLB, BCom LLB, or BSc LLB. The eligibility criteria generally include passing 12th grade from a recognized board with a minimum percentage, which varies by institution. Many universities require candidates to clear entrance exams like CLAT (Common Law Admission Test), AILET (All India Law Entrance Test), or LSAT-India. Some private universities also offer direct admission based on merit.

A traditional 3-year LLB program, however, requires a bachelor's degree and is not available after 12th. The 5-year integrated LLB program is a better option for students who wish to enter the legal profession early. After completing the course, graduates can pursue careers as lawyers, legal advisors, corporate legal professionals, or judges (through judicial exams). Higher studies like LLM (Master of Laws) and legal research are also possible pathways.
