How can I pursue an MCA after completing BCA?

A master's degree in computer applications is pursued by candidates after BCA. Therefore, the candidates have to qualify according to specific eligibility criteria and follow a systematic process for it. Generally, you should be holding a bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field from any recognized institute, with at least an aggregate score of 50% (varies institution-wise).

For some universities, even mathematics as a subject in your 10+2 or graduation is a pre-requisite to get into the course. Post eligibility, search for universities conducting MCA courses and check with their admission criteria. Most colleges hold entrance tests, like NIMCET, IPU CET, or state-level ones, and a few have merit-based entry.

Thorough entrance exam preparation is needed, emphasizing aspects of mathematics, logical reasoning, programming, and general aptitude. Clearing the exam is followed by counseling sessions, if required, for getting a seat in your desired institution. In addition, make sure all the documents are submitted during the admission process. With proper dedication and preparation, you can enroll in an MCA program and move forward in your career in the IT sector.
