Several steps are usually involved in the admission process for a Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, ranging from institution to institution, but generally, as a precursor to admission, the eligibility criteria must be attained. This would entail having passed the 10th grade or equivalent with subjects including Mathematics, Physics, and English.
After meeting the eligibility criteria, applicants have to apply to the institution that grants the AME diploma. Many institutions conduct entrance exams to evaluate the knowledge of the candidate in subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, and General Knowledge, which are very essential for the program. Some institutions also conduct personal interviews to judge the aptitude, passion for flying, and communication skills of the candidate.
Once the entrance exams are declared, candidates are selected for admission based on merit, and some colleges grant direct admission upon academic performance. Once offered a seat, one has to carry out the whole paperwork procedure with the submission of academic certificates as well as a payment of specific fees for being a part of that program.
