How long is the BA LLB course?

The BA LLB (Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws) undergraduate program runs for five years while merging legal education with courses from political science sociology history and economics. The educational program targets future lawyers who have just finished higher school (10+2) studies. Through this program students receive complete knowledge about legal principles and case laws as well as constitutional law and civil and criminal laws together with international legal frameworks.

Student learning spans across five years as they master legal and non-legal subjects which develop their capacity to understand laws from a social perspective. The program evaluation happens through either semester-based or annual evaluations based on university policy. A graduate from the BA LLB program can begin legal practice but may also continue their education with LLM or judiciary exams or seek positions in corporate, litigation or government branches of law. The combined nature of the program allows students to finish their studies in one year less than if they completed BA then LLB independently and thus represents an effective pathway to legal careers.
