The Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT) runs for four years as an undergraduate program focused on hospitality and tourism business education and training. The 8-semester curriculum includes several core subjects starting with food production followed by front office operations and housekeeping then catering services followed by hotel management and finishing with tourism. Academic theory joins with practical education to prepare students for necessary skills they need within hospitality service environments.
The practical aspects of the course expose students to real hotel operations and event management and restaurant services experience through their internships and industry training and live project work. The hospitality-specific business communication course plus financial management and marketing strategies compose part of the curriculum. BHMCT educational achievements allow professional opportunities within hotels, resorts and airlines, cruise lines, event management organizations or entrepreneurial growth in the food and beverage business. The program creates a solid base for people aiming to become exceptional hotel and catering managers at both national and international levels.
