How to get admission in Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA)?

The minimum eligibility criteria to get admission in a BCA program generally include higher secondary education under 12th grade. Students have to complete a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks. The subjects which are required according to most rules include mathematics, computer science, or informatics practices. Some universities or colleges may also make the candidates appear for an entrance exam, where their aptitude in mathematics, logical reasoning, and English language proficiency is assessed. Admission, in most of the cases, is merit-based, based on the marks achieved in the qualifying exam or entrance test.

Admission procedure might vary from institute to institute. After meeting the eligibility criteria, candidates can apply online or offline basis by submitting the application forms associated with the required documents such as academic transcripts, identity proof, and photos. Then, after completing the application process, the shortlisted candidates may be called for counseling or an interview. Some institutions also offer direct admission based on merit. It is therefore important to research individual institutions for their specific admission guidelines, deadlines, and procedures in order to ensure a smooth application process.
