In India, generally, there is no age restriction for admission into a DMLT course, but the eligibility criteria differ in various institutions, with most colleges demanding that the candidate has passed their higher secondary education, also known as 12th grade, in science with subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. The courses in DMLT can be availed by the candidates immediately after 12th class. The student's age is expected to be around 17-18 years old for this course.
There is no upper age limit, and applicants with a more mature educational background can also apply for such courses provided they fulfill other eligibility criteria. In most cases, there are no restrictions on age. However, for some specific courses or categories or even government-sponsored courses, colleges and universities have certain age preferences. Students intending to take admission should refer to the concerned colleges or universities about any age restriction norms followed by the institutions. Of late, many institutions even provide opportunities to working professionals and those looking to switch careers, and hence this course can be availed at any age.
