What are the eligibility criteria for BSc Agriculture?

BSc Agriculture covers a four-year undergraduate period which teaches agricultural science alongside crop production and soil science and agribusiness subjects. The required qualification for admission involves finishing 10+2 education from certified boards while fulfilling one of these two criterion: Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) or Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM). In addition to PCB and PCM students universities accept agricultural students who completed their vocational education in agriculture. Candidates need at least a 50% minimum passing grade but educational institutions provide reduced standards for students in reserved categories according to government regulations.

Students can gain admission to BSc Agriculture either through entrance exams or based on ordinary academic performance. Entry to BSc agriculture programs depends on ICAR AIEEA along with CUET and state-run tests and tests established by individual universities. The admission process of private universities consists of individual tests besides their own entrance examinations. The criteria for admission to BSc Agriculture require candidates between 17 to 25 years of age based on institutional regulations. Agriculture being a practical field makes some universities enforce physical fitness demands on their students. Students who want to apply should verify the precise application requirements of their target institution.
