It is an integrated course in which the B.Tech Aeronautical Engineering is offered in association with the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) for the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), India.
This combined qualification scheme will offer theory in aeronautical engineering knowledge to the students in addition to practice in aircraft maintenance industry thereby preparing the students for a multitude of careers within the aviation sector.
The portion of the B.Tech Aeronautical Engineering is concerned with design, development and running of aircraft and space vehicles. Topics include aerodynamics, power plants, airframe, instruments and flight dynamics.
The AME DGCA component teaches the students more about the pragmatic sides of aircraft maintenance, including inspections, repair, and solutions of the aircraft system, engine, and component according to the DGCA. On completion of the program students can get jobs in the aircraft manufacturing industries, airlines industries, aviation maintenance organizations and the government’s defense division with knowledge of both engineering and aircraft.
