What is the admission process for the Medical Imaging Technology D.Voc course?

Candidates must have completed their 10th grade with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized board for admission to D.Voc in Medical Imaging Technology. The age of the candidates should be between 16 to 28 years at the time of admission. Admission is mainly through the All India Engineering Common Entrance Test (AIE CET), which is a national-level examination. After qualifying, candidates undergo counseling sessions according to their All India Rank (AIR) to get a seat in the program. The D.Voc in Medical Imaging Technology is a three-year diploma program divided into six semesters, combining theoretical knowledge with practical training.

Subjects to be covered in the curriculum include Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Electronics, Anatomy, as well as high specialty imaging, including X-Ray, CT Scan, Ultrasound, and MRI. Upon finishing the course, they are equipped with fundamental skills to become registered Diagnostic Radiographers. Graduates will be absorbed into the different hospitals under government and private and diagnostic labs and clinics. The program has accreditation from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), meaning that courses are offered within national educational standards.
