The D.Pharm is an undergraduate program for two years. This program will allow the student to become a qualified pharmacist who will be able to work in hospitals, clinics, or pharmaceuticals companies. It consists of four semesters with a total duration of around six months for each semester. The course subjects include pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology, pharmacognosy, drug regulations, and practical training.
In addition to the core courses, practical experience in the form of laboratory work, industrial training, and internships is also provided. Students will undergo practical sessions in the form of hospital and community pharmacy training to realize real-world experience. By the end of the program, students equipped with the essential skills in dispensing medications, counseling patients, and interacting with health providers will be ready for service. It acts as a stepping stone for further education or career employment, because trained pharmacists are in high demand in the healthcare sector.
