The usual period of an Electrical Engineering course is four years for a full-time B.Tech or B.E. A B.E or B.Tech has eight semesters. Usually, every semester is about six months long.
Through the first two years, most of the foundation in core subjects is built up; this can range from mathematics and physics to circuit theory, electrical machines, and basic programming. The third and fourth years entail deeper, technical study in terms of control systems, power electronics, power systems, signals and systems, and communication systems. It involves not just theory but even lab work, project-based learning, and internships that eventually assist students apply ideas to real-world concepts.
After getting their B.Tech/B.E. degree, students can further pursue a Master's degree (M.Tech) in Electrical Engineering or specialize in areas like renewable energy, electronics, or automation. Postgraduate courses typically last an additional two years. Some institutions also offer part-time or online courses that may take longer to complete.
