What is the eligibility for BCA?

The Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) offers students a three-year undergraduate curriculum that prepares them for computer science work and programming fields along with Information Technology disciplines. The platform accepts candidates after completion of 10+2 or equivalent certification from a recognized board but students need at least 50% marks in the qualifying exam (institutions have different requirements). Students requiring entry into these higher education institutions must possess Mathematics together with Computer Science and Information Practices subjects from their higher secondary education. At the same time numerous institutions accept learners with any combination of 10+2 Science Commerce or Arts backgrounds.

Several universities require entrance exams to screen candidates through assessments of logical reasoning ability together with mathematics and basic computer skills knowledge. Schools decide admissions based on candidates' upper secondary grades without entrance examinations. Under government provisions some institutions permit special entry standards for diverse student populations. Both English proficiency and equivalent academic qualifications remain requirements for international students. Due to the high demand for IT professionals BCA provides students with an excellent opportunity to pursue software development and data analytics and related IT careers through entry criteria that include various educational qualifications.
