What is the Paramedical and Health Care DVoc course?

The D.Voc is Diploma in Vocational Education well-employed in the D.Voc paramedical & health care sector which prepares the students to be employed in different organizations and sectors in the health care industry. The course aims at preparing individuals to help health care workers in the delivery of healthcare, medical services and assistance in health facility such as hospitals, clinics and nursing homes.

Basic Medical Sciences: Knowledge and awareness about human body’s structure, functions and diseases which are the core of medical and paramedadical profession.

First Aid and Emergency Care: First aid courses including CPR, wound management, and handling of emergencies in life threatening situations.

Clinical Skills: Preventive and simple assessment techniques, touching easy medical equipment, patient care support, and personal care and isolation measures.

Medical Laboratory Technology: The implementation of concepts in coursework may include issues regarding laboratory processes, sample collection and relatively simple testing.

 

Nursing and Patient Care: This module involves knowledge of patient care, medical ethic and communication within healthcare facility.

 

Health and Safety Protocols: These include, training in hospital safety good infection control and hygiene practices.
