What subjects will I learn in this course?

As an Industrial Tool Manufacturing D.Voc student, you'll be studying a host of subjects consisting of designing and developing production tools used in manufacturing. The most significant topics for focus are CAD and CAM, along with how to design and simulate tool components. Additionally, there would be principles of tool design, covering different types of tools and their design.

In addition, you will study many different manufacturing techniques, such as machining, molding, and casting, along with the materials for tool production. You will be trained in metrology for high-precision measurements and quality control techniques necessary for producing tools of precise specifications. You will be able to understand machine operation and maintenance, thus perfecting methods of production so that you will be well equipped for most types of industrial tool manufacturing positions.
